M1 is one of 8 fibre broadband service providers in Singapore, alongside eight, Singtel, StarHub, SIMBA, MyRepublic, ViewQwest and WhizComms. There are three M1 fibre broadband speeds to choose from: 3Gbps, 6Gbps and 10Gbps speeds. All M1 broadband plans run on a 24-month contract, and some include a Wi-Fi router, although you can also opt for no router to keep the price low if you have one already.

M1 fibre broadband plans are sold with 24-month contracts and include a home fixed-line voice service and optical network terminal (ONT) activation, plus 4G mobile broadband. Most plans include a free Wi-Fi router, but there's also one BYO router plan. At the time of writing, there's also no upfront fee, which saves you over $100.

M1 sells three different broadband speeds. The current cheapest plan is the HomePac 3Gbps, which costs $32.90 per month and includes your choice of router: TP-Link Archer BE230, or ASUS RT-BE58U. This is one of the cheapest broadband plans overall in Singapore, however, there are faster plans available for even cheaper.

In the middle speed tier is M1's HomePac 6Gbps plan. At $38.90 per month for 24 months, you'll also get to choose from either the ASUS RT-BE92U or TP-Link Archer BE805. Again, although this plan is decent value, there are faster plans at lower costs.

Speaking off, M1’s final and best value offerings are two 10Gbps plans. The first, HomePac 10Gbps, is currently available for $34.90 per month, making it one of the most affordable max-speed broadband plans in Singapore. It's a BYO router plan, however, you can add a router from $4 per month if needed. The second, Integrated HomePac 10Gbps, includes an ONR instead of an ONT (meaning it can function as a router itself), plus a TP-Link Archer BE230 or ASUS RT-BE58U router at no extra cost.

Which M1 fibre broadband speed is best?

Broadband plans in Singapore are among the fastest in the world, though MyRepublic, ViewQwest, Singtel and StarHub typically record faster average speeds (according to Ookla Speedtest Awards). Providers offer symmetrical download and upload speeds. This means a 5Gbps plan can reach download and upload speeds of up to 5Gbps. All broadband internet connections in Singapore are suitable for emails, web browsing, social media, streaming services and online gaming.

M1 fibre broadband plan add-ons

M1 used to sell a range of devices as add-ons to its fibre broadband plans, but this is no longer the case (with the exception of Wi-Fi routers and mesh systems, of course). The only real add-on to speak of is M1's Static IP Service, which is mentioned on the provider's website, but no pricing information is given.
