StarHub fibre broadband plans

StarHub has three main fibre broadband plans it offers to customers, either at 3Gbps, 5Gbps or 10Gbps symmetrical download and upload speeds. Every StarHub broadband plan comes with three months of Amazon Prime and a TP-Link WiFi 7 router. There’s a $61.04 service activation fee for new StarHub customers but there are no optical network terminal (ONT) fees. Whichever StarHub plan you choose, expect a 24-month contract.

The cheapest StarHub broadband plan offers up to 3Gbps symmetrical speeds for $39.91 per month. This StarHub plan comes with a TP-Link HB410 dual-band WiFi 7 router, which has two 2.5Gbps Ethernet ports and two 1Gbps LAN (local network) ports. Wireless speeds reach a combined 6.5Gbps, but you shouldn’t expect speeds beyond 2.5Gbps because of the Ethernet internet port limitation.

How to sign up for a StarHub fibre broadband plan

Follow these steps to sign up for a StarHub fibre broadband plan:

  1. Find the StarHub broadband plan that’s best for your home above, then click the ‘Go to Site’ button.
  2. On the StarHub website, confirm the plan details, then click the ‘Subscribe now’ button.
  3. Log in with your Hub ID if you have an existing account, or sign up for an account by entering your email address and a password.

Reportedly, it can take up to a week for a StarHub internet plan to activate. Installation is included when you sign up for a StarHub plan, so make and check appointment details via the StarHub app. You have to be home for the StarHub broadband installation to create a username and password for your router. All StarHub broadband plans come with a router, so the technician should connect all of the necessary networking hardware from the termination point to the optical network terminal and then your router to share internet around the home.
