In a bid to go toe-to-toe with Apple’s new iPhone 17 lineup, Xiaomi has debuted its own 17 Series. Skipping the 16 line entirely, Xiaomi jumped from the 15 straight to the 17 series. The lineup features the Xiaomi 17, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max, replacing the Ultra variant from previous years.
Let's get into everything you need to know about the Xiaomi 17 lineup, including new features, Singapore pricing, and potential dates for pre-orders and release.
What does the Xiaomi 17 look like?

It appears Xiaomi has taken inspiration from more than just the iPhone 17's name, with all three models sharing the same squared-off edges and prominent camera bumps as Apple's flagships. The key differences are that the base Xiaomi 17 has an extra lens, while the Xiaomi 17 Pro and Pro Max both sport a Dynamic Back Display, which can be used as a camera viewfinder, watch face, music control centre, and can also show rideshare and flight notifications.
The Xiaomi 17 sports a 6.3-inch display with 3,500 nits of peak brightness and is available in black, white, pastel pink and pastel blue. The 17 Pro and Pro Max have 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch displays, respectively, and come in four colours: black, white, purple and forest green.
What new features does the Xiaomi 17 have?
One of the most significant upgrades to the Xiaomi 17 lineup is the new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, set to rival the A19 Pro chipset in the iPhone 17 Series. Xiaomi has also snagged a pretty exclusive deal, so you won’t see rival phones with the chipset before October.
The Xiaomi 17 sports a 50MP main lens, 50MP telephoto lens with 2.6x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultrawide lens. The Pro and Pro Max boast the same ultrawide lens, but their 50MP telephoto lens is capable of 5x optical zoom, and their 50MP main lens has a slightly larger pixel size, allowing for better low-light performance.
The Xiaomi 17 packs a huge 7,000mAh battery, a sizeable upgrade over the 5,400mAh battery in the Xiaomi 15. The Xiaomi Pro has a 6,300mAh battery, while the Pro Max rocks the largest battery overall at 7,500mAh.
