Is the price of flagship phones tempting you over to the budget or mid-range market? If so, you've got two new options, with the Samsung Galaxy A57 and A37 officially announced, bringing Galaxy AI, triple-lens cameras and long-term support to the sub-$600 price range.
Here's everything you need to know about the Samsung Galaxy A57 and A37, including Singapore pricing, availability, and all the new features coming to the series.
Samsung Galaxy A57 and A37 new features
Although it may not seem like much has changed from the A56 and A36 on paper, under the hood, each device has seen some welcome improvements.
The Galaxy A57's new Exynos 1680 chip is reportedly 14% faster (24% faster when it comes to graphics) than its predecessor, while the Galaxy S37's Exynos 1480 chip is 12.5% faster with 13.8% faster graphics. Both devices retain the same 5,000mAh battery, with neither supporting wireless charging.
Although the camera setup on both devices remains the same as their predecessors (with the A57 rocking a 50MP main lens, 12MP ultrawide, and 5MP macro and the A37 sporting a 50MP main lens, 8MP ultrawide, and 5MP macro), the new phones have an improved image signalling processor, which should mean a noticeable improvement in low-light photography.
The design, too, hasn't had a major shake-up, but this year's A57 and A37 are both rated IP68 for dust and water resistance, up from IP67 last year. There's also a new range of colours to choose from: Awesome Navy, Awesome Grey, Awesome Lilac and Awesome Icyblue for the A57, and Awesome Lavender, Awesome Charcoal, Awesome Greygreen, and Awesome White for the A37.
Of course, it wouldn't be a 2026 phone launch without AI, and Samsung has confirmed that both the Galaxy A57 and A37 will ship out with the latest One UI 8.5, granting users access to Galaxy AI tools like voice transcription, image object eraser, and photo editing suggestions. Both devices will also receive an impressive six years of both software and security updates, which is fantastic for this price range.
