StarHub is one of the mobile network operators in Singapore, alongside Singtel, M1 and SIMBA. Users after SIM-only, prepaid and plans with mobile phones can find them all at StarHub.
Before we break down the best StarHub mobile plans (and compare them to Singtel), here’s a look at all of your options. Note that any plan marked with green ‘Deal’ text indicates a StarHub mobile plan promotion.
All StarHub mobile plans come with free incoming calls, inbound SMS, and roaming data on the StarHub 5G network.
Best StarHub SIM-only plan overall
The StarHub 5G Unlimited+ Core SIM Only plan is the best overall. It typically costs $38 every 30 days for unlimited StarHub 5G local data (subject to fair use) with no contract. It also comes with unlimited local and roaming calls and SMS, unlimited IDD calls, 5GB roaming data for use in Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam, and 3GB global roaming data for use in 165 destinations. Plus, you get $5 worth of device credits each month to put towards a new phone.
For comparison, Singtel's closest equivalent plan is the Enhanced Core plan. It costs $40 per month and comes with unlimited local data, 50GB Malaysia roaming, 4GB Asia Roaming, 700 national minutes and 700 outbound SMSes, plus $5 monthly device cashback. It's very similar to StarHub's plan, but without the added bonus of global roaming data and unlimited IDD calls, local calls and SMS. That said, there are better value plans than both these options from alternative MVNO providers, albeit few with unlimited data.

Best cheap StarHub SIM-only plan
If you want the cheapest StarHub SIM-only option, look at the 5G Lite SIM Only plan. It’s a no-contract plan that typically costs $22 every 30 days for 150GB of local data, 1GB of Southeast Asia Data (Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam) and 1GB global roaming data. This StarHub mobile plan also comes with 1,000 minutes of outgoing local calls and 750 local outbound SMSes.
Singtel’s closest competing SIM Only plan is the Enhanced Lite Plan, which costs $35 per month ($24.50 per month for new signups) on a 12-month contract. It comes with 300GB of data, 400 minutes of outgoing call minutes, 400 outbound SMSes, and 10GB of Malaysia roaming data. Once again, the MVNOs have both telcos beat for cheap plans with big inclusions.

Best big-data StarHub SIM-only plan
With the exception of the 5G Lite plan, any StarHub SIM Only plan will suit those with big data needs, as they all offer unlimited local data. To keep things reasonably priced, we'd go with the 5G Unlimited+ Core plan, which costs $38 a month. This StarHub mobile plan also comes with 5GB of roaming data to five Southeast Asian destinations, 3GB global roaming data, unlimited local and roaming calls and SMS, plus unlimited IDD minutes and $5 credit per month for a new device. If you roam more frequently, consider the 5G Unlimited+ Plus plan or the 5G Unlimited+ Max plan.
The closest SIM-only plan from Singtel is the $40 Enhanced Core plan. It costs $40 every month and comes with unlimited local data, 50GB Malaysia roaming data, 4GB Asia roaing data, 700 local minutes, and 700 SMS. Again, there are cheaper options from MVNOs.

Best StarHub mobile phone plan
StarHub no longer offers separate plans for those purchasing devices on a plan. Instead, you'll simply choose a SIM-only plan and use the included monthly device credits towards your choice of smartphone, watch or tablet. Our pick for the best is the 5G Unlimited+ Max plan, which costs $78 per month but includes $20 of device credits each month. In addition, you also get unlimited local data, unlimited local and roaming calls and SMS, unlimited IDD calls, and 20GB global roaming data.
The closest comparable mobile plan is the Singtel Enhanced S plan, which also costs $78 a month on a 24-month contract. It only comes with 200GB of local data, 300 local minutes, and 300 local SMS, plus three months of Calm Premium, Burpple Beyond, Disney Plus Premium, and Straits Times All Digital. The StarHub plan absolutely blows Singtel out of the water.
StarHub seniors, prepaid and CIS plans
StarHub also has other plans apart from SIM-only postpaid options. For older adults, there is one StarHub seniors plan available. It costs $12 per month (no contract) and includes 150GB local 5G data, 1GB Southeast Asia data (five destinations), 1GB global roaming data (165 destinations), 500 local minutes, 500 local SMS, and unlimited roaming calls and SMS.
StarHub also sells a range of prepaid plans that cover calls, SMS and data plans. Prepaid starter cards start at $10 for 80GB of data per 30 days and extend up to 350GB per 30 days. StarHub also offers IDD plans for selected countries, including Malaysia, Japan and Taiwan. Prepaid users can top-up via the dedicated StarHub Prepaid Online Top Up portal.
Finally, StarHub also offers Corporate Individual Scheme (CIS) mobile plan discounts of up to 20% off 5G Unlimited+ Core plans and above, up to $360 off devices for new lines and port-ins, and savings to share with the family.
